James Alexander Scott, 54, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on November 8, 2019. A Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2:00pm ET at Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia with Dr. Rev. David T. Holston officiating.
James was born September 25, 1965 in Columbus, Georgia to Johnny Clyde Scott, Sr. and Rosa Lee Scott. He graduated from Jordan High School. He was a carpenter by trade, as well as an artist. James loved drawing. He was always the life of the party, known for his comedy and loved to host parties. He had a smile as big as his body. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his children, Brittany McCart, Jakyle Strickland, Marcello Scott, Yamissa Scott, Desmond Scott and Lakita Davis; 7 siblings, Johnny Scott, Jr., Randolph Scott, Rosemary Scott, Anthony Scott, Demetrius Scott, Marcus Moore and Dackery Moore; 3 grandchildren, Isaiah Simmons, Jayden McCart and Kingston McCart; fiance, Rochelle Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews. James will be loved and missed by many.
