James Benjamin Harrington, Sr.

James Benjamin Harrington, Sr., 95, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Phenix City, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM EST with Rev. Wayne Veal officiating at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Harrington will lie in state Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.

Mr. Harrington was born April 23, 1927 to the late, DeKaro Harrington and Opie Worthington Harrington in Blanton, Alabama. He served as a member of the United States Air Force before going on to own and operate Tire Exchange. In his spare time, Mr. Harrington loved to fish. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Benton Harrington; one grandchild; and one sister, Faye Stephens.

Surviving are his two sons, James B. Harrinton, Jr. and Jerry H. Harrington; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
