James D. Harrell

James D. Harrell, 72, of Pittsview, AL passed away on August 16, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Georgia.

James was born on March 24, 1948 to Laddie and Juanita Harrell in Moultrie, Georgia. 

James was always neat and put together, always being the one everyone called when there was a problem. He was the glue that held everyone together.  He worked in the welding industry for 43 years. James enjoyed fishing, bowling and coaching womens softball. He was known for having a big heart and always making people laugh. He was a beloved dad, husband, brother grandfather and friend and will be missed by many. 

He is preceded by his wife of 48 years Diane Harrell; mother Juanita Harrell and father Laddie Harrell.

surviving are his children James Daniel Harrell Jr. (Wendy), Tonya Harrell Perry, Shanna Harrell and Starla Stewart. Siblings Laddie Harrell Jr.(Debbie), Cathy Casteel, Janice Beverly (Danny), Michael Harrell (Mary) and Christopher Harrell (Terri).Grandchildren Tara Orr, JT Kilgore, Mikayla Smith, Lance Smith, Wyatt Smith, Olivia Smith, Khloey Perry, Kody Harrell, Caleb Harrell, Chloe Harrell, Kaylee Harrell, Andrew Harper, Gage Morrow, Aaron Morrow and Alyssa Stewart and 9 Great-Granchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Brady Baird officiating.
