James Edward Harper Jr., 59, of Phenix City, AL passed away on June 05, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at 2:00 PM E.T. at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor DeWayne Dean officiating.
James was born on May 5, 1962 to James E. Harper Sr. and Mable Napier Harper in Valley, Alabama.
James was a kind hearted soul with a heart made of pure gold. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and listening to good music with a cold one in his hand. James marched to the beat of his own drum and was a humble man content with life. He loved Alabama football, NASCAR racing and spending time around a fire with friends and family. He was a simple kind of man that led a simple life, but he always had a smile to share and a helping hand to offer. He has worked as a talented mechanic, flooring installer, and fireworks salesman. Most of all he was the best friend, uncle and brother anyone could ever wish to have and to know. He was loved unconditionally by many and will be missed dearly. James accepted Christ in his heart as his savior and is now rejoicing together with the lord in everlasting paradise with loved ones gone before him.
He is survived by his four siblings: Linda Greer, Laura Cohen, Tim Greer (Jene) and Glenn Harper (Wilma), Eight Nieces and Nephews: Kim Acosta (Louis), Alison Sinclair, Elizabeth Lewis (Joel), Crystal Turner (Ken), Charles Harper (Bethany), Jennifer Harper, Scott Greer (Katy), and Leah Hannigan. Along with many great nieces and nephews and great friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Harper Sr., Mable Harper and "Papa Bear" Wiley Greer whom he loved and missed dearly and are now reunited in the kingdom of God.
