He leaves behind his wife, Melissa Benton (Phenix City,), two sons, Michael Benton (Clanton, AL) and Jacob Benton (Russell County, AL), one daughter, April Benton (Phenix City, AL), one granddaughter, Lily Herndon (Phenix City, AL), one grandson, Ares Benton (Russell County, AL), parents, Donald Walker and Becky Dunn (Pittsview, AL), one brother, Kenny Carter (Lee County, AL) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
