Jack Bruce Dempsey, 81 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Columbus, Georgia.

Mr. Dempsey was born, April 18, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia, son of E.J. Wertenburger and Mattie Davis. Mr. Dempsey enjoyed wood working making furniture and other smaller items. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, being in nature. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 45 years Martha Ann Hatcher.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Robin Thompson ( Chris); grandson, Kevin Bruce; two nephews, Jonathan Warrick and Thomas McCormick; two sisters, Ann and Patricia; a brother, Jay; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
