Hugh D. Moore, Jr.

Hugh D. Moore Jr., of Abbeville, AL passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama .
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 12:00 pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Weaver officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be; CPL Dakota Tyson, SGT Ricardo Alvarez, Michael Prince, Shawn Moore, John Tyson, and Hunter Bowling. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11-12 pm ET at the funeral home.
Hugh was born on May 18, 1951 to Hugh Dorsey Moore Sr. and Virginia Hoard Moore in Griffin, Georgia.      
He was a proud AA member and sober for 12 years;  member of Lasting Impact church in Barnesville, Georgia  for over 20 years. He served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh D. Moore, Sr. and Virginia Hoard Moore, sister and brother in law, Virginia Paulette Prince, and Wilbur "Pete" Prince, sister; Kathy Moore, and daughter, Tracey Moore.
 Surviving are his brothers; CW2 John Moore and wife, Deborah, Keith Moore and wife, Debbie; a special cousin, Deborah Payton; a sister, Rebecca Crews, a son, Zachary Moore, and a host of Nieces and nephews. A faithful canine companion, Coco.
