Howard Edward Nevels

Howard Nevels Sr, 89, of Phenix city, Al  passed away peaceful at home Friday October 3rd .  He was a proud Veteran & lifelong hard worker . Howard owned & operated his own store, where he worked as a butcher.
He was known not only for his skills behind the counter but also for his conversations he shared with anyone who walked through his doors. 

Howard never met a stranger -he loved his family and everyone loved him.

In his free time, Howard enjoyed the simple joys of life. He found peace in being outside working in the yard and he loved to go fishing.

He is survived by sister Inez Carr and husband Charles ; Daughter Sherry Evans & husband Terry

Grandchildren: Shawn Austin & wife Tina ; Tiffany Ketchum & husband Bo ; Kieth Kitts

Great grandchildren : Neely Austin; Tucker Sims; Trey Ketchum & Kane Kitts

He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Nevels; Daughter: Deadra Austin ; & son Eddie Nevels JR

He will always be remembered for his warm heart  & strong work ethic.
