Herman Morris Murphy, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed away on June 27, 2023 in Columbus, Georgia.

Mr. Murphy was born on April 27, 1939 to Tannis Carlton Murphy and Mary Alice ( Hood) Murphy in Phenix City, Alabama. He retired from Columbus Water Works.

He is preceded in death by his spouse Wanda Jean Murphy; one son, Randy Murphy; one great-grandchild, Matthew Carlton Martin; his parents, Tannis Carlton and Mary Alice Murphy; and one brother, Mike Murphy.

He is survived by one son, Stephen Morris Murphy; five grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, Misti Murphy, Randy Murphy, Justin Murphy, and Stephanie Murphy; one brother, Wayne Murphy; 15 Great-Grandchildren, and five Great-Great-Great Grandchildren.
