Herman Hudson, 80, of Phenix City, Alabama died November 5, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hudson was born February 6, 1941 in Sweetwater, Alabama to the late, Mason and Sadie Irene (Walker) Hudson. He served in the United States Army for 23 years including multiple tours in Vietnam. He loved his family, spending time outdoors, gardening, and having a beautiful yard. He also loved watching College football and wrestling. He also loved his sweet dog, Sissy. Mr. Hudson is preceded in death by his parents, many brothers and sisters, granddaughter, Melissa Wiggins and sons-in- laws, Samuel Gladwell and Dennis Brooks.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ruby Hudson; daughters, Janet Gladwell of Hinesville, GA, Barbara (Jesus) Rodrigues of Denver, CO and Dorothy (Bill) Wood of Eufaula, AL; grandchildren, Salina Phillips, Robert Quinones, Kandyse (Fernando) Romero, Devin Poteat, and Beth Woods; great-grandchildren, Tatiana Corchado, Samuel Corchado, Jaylyn Woods, Angelo Romero, Emerie Santo, Fiona Phillips, Mia Romero, Cain Marquis, Ethan Poteat, Aubrey Poteat, Arian Romero.
