Felicita "Feli" Velazquez Pescia, 60, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10:00am ET at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Pescia was born January 23, 1959 to Alipio Velazquez and Anna Elisabeth Hammock. She attended Columbus State University and received a Masters degree from Troy University. She taught English at Baker High School and Spencer High School. Mrs. Pescia loved reading books, especially James Patterson and mystery novels. She enjoyed beach trips to St. George Island, loved Christmas and going to Callaway Gardens to see the lights. She had a very generous heart. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Nickolas Pescia; father, Alipio Velazquez, Sr. and step-father, Clinton Hammock.
Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Skinner (Daniel) of Phenix City, Alabama; son, James Michael Pescia (Lindsey) of Tallasee, Alabama; daughter, Tina Quesnell; 5 grandchildren, Madison, Layton, Bryton, Nicholas and McKinsey; siblings, Cathy and Jeff Miller, Ali, Jr. and Sandra Velazquez, Angie and Glenn Daniels, Audrey and Adrian McDonald, Donnie and Jennifer Milner; mother, Anna Elisabeth Hammock; nieces and nephews, Brandon McDonald, Shane McDonald, Ali III Velazquez, Jeremy Velazquez, Nash Milner, Alexis Daniels, Brandi Daniels, Cayla Daniels and Skylar Milner.
