Edward Keel Martin

Edward Keel Martin, 76, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Smiths Station, Alabama. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating. 

Mr. Martin was born February 21, 1945 to the late, E.J. Martin and Thelma Anthony in Phenix City, Alabama. He loved to work, watch television, and eat silver bell Hershey kisses. Mr. Martin enjoyed going to casinos and traveling to the mountains. Most of all, he loved his family and grandkids. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by six siblings, baby Martin, Tucker Martin, Donnie Martin, Jimmy Martin, Michael Martin, and Diane Osborne.

Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Brenda Martin; two daughters, Wendy Martinez (Benjamin) and Kelly Jones (Robert "Warren"); two sisters, Janet Bankston (Chris) and Judy Martin; five grandchildren, Kaylyn McBride, Summer McBride, Jasmine Anderson (Eric), Taylor Hussey (Nick), and Hunter Strothers; two great-grandchildren, Emily Anderson and Brooklyn Anderson.
