Earnie Barnes, 60 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday at Muscogee Manor Nursing home in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Barnes was born in Phenix City, Al. Son of the late James Wiley Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Lawson. He was owner of Uptown radiator in Phenix City. His passion was working on vehicles. Loved drag racing his 1955 Chevy (Mad Rabbit) in the 80’s. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed going to Talladega Nascar races. Other than his parents, he was proceeded in death by his twin sons, Christopher Barnes and Michael Barnes. Survivors include his siblings: Pam Carrol, Michael Wright, Julia Popp and James Wiley Barnes Jr. (aka -Chainsaw) Children: Angela Leigh East, Justin Nathanial Barnes, Earnest Jesse Barnes, Jason Riley Barnes, Jordan Mackenzie Dyess, Andrew Barnes (aka Speedbump) Grandchildren: Ange East, Jacob East, Stephen East, Damon Arroyave, Chasidy Barnes-Barrel, Clarissa Barnes-Mooney, Cheyenne Barnes-Mooney, Julianne Durham-Barnes, Jamison Barnes, Jase Barnes and De’Markus Matthew Jr. Lifelong friends: Rick Maddox, Richard Thomas (aka JR), and Billy Clyde.
