Dorothy Peck, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 80 in Phenix City, Alabama. Born on January 29, 1944, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, Dorothy's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and the profound love she had for her family and friends.
Dorothy's early years in Elizabethton were filled with the warmth of a close-knit community and the guidance of her loving parents, Taylor Wilson and Pansy Wilson Vanier. Her joyful spirit and resilience shone brightly throughout her life, traits that endeared her to all who knew her. Dorothy's journey led her to Columbus, Georgia; where she established deep roots and built a life full of cherished memories.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted children, Pete Perper and his wife Wanda, Frankie Reeves and her husband Randy, and Rick Perper. She was a proud and doting grandmother to eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will carry the legacy of her love and wisdom for generations to come.
Dorothy's life was also blessed with the companionship of her three sisters, Brenda Money, Joan Robinson, and Robin Forsite, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Her sisters' presence brought her immense joy and comfort.
While the loss of her son, Keith Rhoden and siblings, Jo Ann Sedlak, Debbie Watson, and Buck Wilson, preceded her in death, the memories of their shared laughter and love continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
