Donna Faye Milburn, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Columbus, GA, at the age of 72. Born on March 10, 1952, in Phenix City, AL, Donna's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she had for her family and community.
Donna spent her professional years as a dedicated supervisor at AFLAC, where she was respected for her leadership and commitment to excellence. Her colleagues remember her as a guiding force who brought both wisdom and warmth to the workplace. Upon retirement, she continued to touch lives through her active involvement in her beloved Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was a beacon of faith and fellowship.
A woman of many talents, Donna had a passion for music that was evident to all who knew her. She found joy in playing the guitar and was always eager to learn new instruments. Her musical gifts were a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends, and her melodies will resonate in their hearts forever.
Donna's love for animals was another defining aspect of her life. She had a special affinity for horses and dogs, and her gentle nature made her a favorite among the four-legged members of her family. Her kindness to animals was a reflection of her overall approach to life—compassionate, gentle, and always nurturing.
She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Daniel Wayne Milburn; her son, Delane Jones, and his wife, Darlene; her grandsons, Jonathan Jones (Courtney) and Colby Jones; and her great-grandson, Osmond Jones. Donna also leaves behind her brother, Ray Jones. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Walter Jones, and her mother, Faye Shores Jones.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 12:00 pm ET at Mt Lebanon Baptist Church in Cottonton, AL with Dr. Wayne Scarborough officiating.
