Donald Julius Amerson

Donald Julius Amerson, 57 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born October 6, 1961 to Oscar Julius Amerson and Eren Bush Amerson.

Surviving are his mother, Eren Bush Amerson and sidekick Danny Minor; 2 aunts, Alice Butler and Katie Minor; cousins, Myra Durance, Wendy Ogle, Bonnie Ferrell, Dale Amerson, David Askew, Phillip Askew, Diane Palmer, William Sports, James Sports, George Earl Sports, Tracy Sports, Bobby Sports, Ronnie Sports, Kim Winsor, Jane Eastridge, Danny Minor and much more extended family and friends.

Donald worked at Pratt Whitney for 30 years and has a big company family. His hobbies were grilling a good steak, taking his mother out to eat, tinkering with electronics and watching football with his friends.

Funeral arrangements include a visitation Monday, May 6, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama from 10:00 to 11:00 am EST and the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Skip Speed officiating. A private burial will be at Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers include Danny Minor, Gery O'neal, Scott Crowley, Ronnie Kilpatrick, Eddie Lindsey and Ronnie Sports.
