Debra Jean Goodson, 69, a lifelong resident of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

Ms. Goodson was born February 25, 1952 in Eufaula, Alabama to Robert Eugene Hutchins and Martha Francis Pittman Hutchins. She retired from K-Mart, where she worked as a customer service representative. She was very social, never met a stranger, and loved to laugh. Ms. Goodson also enjoyed watching Alabama football.

Surviving are her four children, Johnny Whitener (Tara), Tim Whitener (Alisha), Travis Whitener, and Adam Whitener; two brothers, Bob Hutchins (Barbara) and Mike Hutchins (Trish); 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
