Born on May 28, 1949, in Columbus, Georgia, to Fred Spann and Mabel (Loudermilk) Spann, Debbie's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the importance of family. Her siblings included Marie Carpenter (Mark) and brothers Earl Spann and Eddie Spann. Debbie's early life laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to her loved ones and community. It was then that she met and married the love of her life, Glen Holden, and together they embarked on a journey filled with joy, challenges, and unwavering partnership. Debbie's heart was truly at home when surrounded by her family, and she was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Cindy Holden and Patricia Schulte. The legacy of her caring spirit lives on through her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom she cherished deeply. Throughout her life, Debbie was the epitome of a caretaker, always putting others before herself. Her career as a weaver in a textile mill was more than just a job; it was a demonstration of her work ethic and her desire to contribute to the well-being of her family. Debbie's absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength and compassion, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. She will be laid to rest at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, where her memory and the impact she made on so many will be honored.
