David Wayne Sasser passed away the morning of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
David was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and graduated from Carver High School.
David had a passion for his country, his family, fast cars, motorcycles and making a deal. A born salesman, his career began selling at George Brightwell's Shoes in Columbus Square Mall as a young man. Highly ambitious and motivated, he cultivated his skills into a decades-long Executive Management career for Jay Automotive Group and was known to many as a mentor and "a great car man".
David's infectious energy lit up every room he walked into, and he was the life of the party. If you were with him, you were laughing. He was always there to provide advice and guidance for those close to him and made great things happen in the lives of the people he loved.
He is preceded in death and reunited in Heaven with his parents, G.W. and Zona Lee Sasser; sisters, Zonya Gail Carter, Glenda Faye Cox and niece, Christina Danielle Satcher.
He is survived by his sisters, Carrol Ann Oliver (Dick), Glorya Jean Satcher (David) and Denise Sasser Burkhalter (Allen); nieces and nephews, Charles Anthony Cox, Traci Peters Lasater, Stephanie Faye Burkhalter, Tad Walters, Gregory Wayne Cox, Dustin Leigh Billings, Julie Oliver, and Terri Brecht Harris.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM est. at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.
