David Gentry

David William Gentry, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 19, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. Born on July 23, 1953, in Phenix City, Alabama. David's early years in Phenix City were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of Southern living. He was a beacon of light for his mother, Patricia (Hamilton) Gentry, who survives him, and a source of endless pride for his late father, Billy Norman Gentry. David's bond with his two sisters, Vickie and Judy Gentry, was unbreakable, and together they shared a lifetime of memories.

Throughout his life, David was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and generous spirit. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to bring comfort and joy to those around him was unparalleled. David's presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate David's life will be held on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 12:30 PM ET at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Pastor David Dollar will officiate the service, offering solace and hope to all of David's loved ones as they gather to bid him farewell.
