Born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, in 1959 to the late Ray and Irene Austin Reese, Cynthia's journey unfolded with a spirit of joy and resilience that touched countless hearts along the way.
Cynthia's early years in Bradford laid the foundation for a life characterized by a robust work ethic and a heartwarming smile that became her trademark. Her career spanned various roles, from the friendly face at local convenient stores to the attentive waitress at neighborhood restaurants. Her diligence and warmth made her a beloved figure in the communities she served.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Cynthia's world revolved around her cherished family. She is survived by her loving children, Amber Wells, Gregory "G.J." Honold, and Robert Hopkins; her devoted brother, John Delaney; and her adored grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jaiden, Rylee, Robert, and Kayleigh. Cynthia was a beacon of light and laughter in their lives, guiding them with a blend of humor and wisdom that will forever echo in their memories. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob and James Newman, and her beloved "Dixie" who, along with her parents, welcomed her into eternal rest.
Cynthia's zest for life was perhaps most evident in her adventures with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Bama. Her passion for creating unforgettable memories was infectious, and she never missed an opportunity to infuse fun into the ordinary moments. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 , 2:00 pm et at Colonial Funeral Home. Those attending are encouraged to wear your favorite Alabama shirts, or simply come as you are.
