From an early age she developed the kindness, grace, and strength that would come to define her. She carried those qualities into every part of her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence Daniel Lalka of Phenix City, Alabama; her two daughters, Nancy Sutton and her husband Bill, Jackie Dudley and her husband Menza; and her seven cherished grandchildren, Will Sutton, Ashley Sutton, Kaley Sutton, Menza Dudley III and his wife Maddie, Jack Dudley, Max Dudley, and Mason Dudley. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with them. Whether gathered for holidays, family meals, or simple everyday moments, Connie treasured the love and laughter that filled her home.

She approached her responsibilities with a calm and steady presence, earning the trust and appreciation of those around her. Beyond her career, she was known for the pride she took in her home, her family, and the many simple pleasures that brightened her days.
Connie enjoyed traveling the East Coast in their RV, making memories along the way and appreciating the beauty of the journey as much as the destination. She was a devoted Auburn fan and followed with enthusiasm and loyalty. She also collected ballerina figurines, a hobby that reflected her appreciation for grace and beauty. At home, she enjoyed watching soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, and she found comfort and companionship in the presence of her beloved dog, Belle.
