Clarence Emmitt Wright Jr., known lovingly to many as Clint, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on September 30, 1969, in Fort Benning, Georgia, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, hard work, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful.
Clint was the beloved husband of Cynthia Renee Whipple Wright of Seale, Alabama, and they shared 35 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and commitment. Together, they built a family that was the center of his world. He is survived by his wife, his daughters, Jessica Wright (Cameron Harrison), and Paige Horace (Stephon), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Xavier, Jaxson, Marley, and Domonic. He is also survived by his siblings, Randall Lee Guthrie, Sidney Michael Wright (Hope), and Tina Marie Hodges (William). In addition, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will always remember his kindness, humor, and steady presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Emmitt Wright Sr. and Eunice Inez Homan Roberts, as well as his sisters Wanda Campbell and Deborah Bland. Clint carried the memory of his family with him throughout his life and remained grounded in the values they instilled in him.
Clint was known for his strong work ethic. He worked 13 years at Rainbow Foods in Crawford and was currently employed by Renfroes in Smiths Station at the time of his passing. He took pride in doing his work well.
Outside of work, Clint found joy in the outdoors and in the peaceful routines he loved. He especially enjoyed fishing, camping, mowing the grass, and spending time outside whenever he could. He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed Nascar, as well as the music of Hank Jr. and Hank Sr. He also loved playing the harmonica, and his family will remember the warmth and personality he brought to every gathering. Above all, he treasured time with his grandchildren, and those moments brought him great happiness and pride.
Clint will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. His life was one of quiet strength, faithful love, and genuine connection to the people and things that mattered most to him. Though his passing leaves a deep emptiness, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30 at Colonial Funeral Home from 2PM-4PM EST.
