Christy Dean Obituary

Christy Marie Dean, a beacon of generosity and selflessness, passed away peacefully at the age of 49 on March 29, 2025, in Smiths Station, Alabama. Born on April 21, 1975, in Villa Rica, Georgia, Christy's early years were graced by the nurturing love of her parents, George Dean and Linda Franklin Adams. Her life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family, her passion for nurturing life in her gardens, and her commitment to serving others through her work.

Her devotion as a mother was unparalleled, and she is lovingly remembered by her son, Justin Ware. Christy was a cherished partner to Ricky Sloan, with whom she shared many joyous and loving years in Smiths Station. Her compassionate spirit extended to all members of her family, including her sister Patricia Ward. Christy's warmth and care also touched her nieces Abby and Amy, her cousins Dale Gibbs, Gail Gorman, Ken Franklin, Kenny Franklin, Stephanie Franklin and her dear friend Joy Sanders. While Christy was preceded in death by her son Blake Lynnwood Ware and Melvin Gregory Ware, the father of her children, her legacy of love continues to live on in the hearts of those she left behind.

Her journey through life was marked by her dedication to her work. In her early years, Christy found joy in the bustling environment of JoLyn's, where she served as a cook, mastering the art of creating comfort through food. Later, she found her calling in elder care, providing comfort and companionship to those in the twilight of their lives. Her work was not just a job; it was a demonstration of her innate kindness and her desire to make a positive impact on the world.

Christy's interests reflected the depth of her caring nature. She was an exemplary mother, always placing the well-being of her sons at the forefront of her priorities. Her love for life was evident in her vibrant gardens, where she cultivated a diverse array of flowers and vegetables, each bloom and harvest a symbol of her nurturing soul. Christy's hands were rarely still, as she found solace and joy in various crafts, creating beauty and sharing it with those around her.

Those who knew Christy will remember her for the generosity that flowed effortlessly from her. She was the kind of person who would give without expecting anything in return, a true embodiment of selflessness. Her presence was a comfort, her actions a source of inspiration, and her memory a treasure to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we bid farewell to Christy Marie Dean, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a devoted partner, a loving mother, a caring sister, and a loyal friend. Her spirit, characterized by boundless generosity and selflessness, will continue to inspire us. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the seeds of kindness she planted in every life she touched will blossom for years to come. Christy's story is not one of sadness, but one of a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will endure forever.
