Charles Landrum Thompson, 78, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 at 1:00pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. DeWayne Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson was born October 11, 1941 to Horace Timothy Thompson and Wilma Lee Schoolar. He worked for AAA Cooper Transportation as a truck driver and was a member of St. Mark Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and loved his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Timothy Thompson; mother, Wilma Lee Schoolar; brother, Donnie Thompson and sister, Barbara Ann Hyde.
Surviving are his wife, Joann Thompson; son, Charles Thompson, Jr. (Lisa); daughter, Belinda Thompson West (Roy); grandchildren, Aaron Thompson, Dewey West, Abbey West, Jacob West, Brianna West, sisters Janie Finkley, Juanita Bopp, Gail Wright, Rita Robinson; brothers Tim Thompson, Tony Thompson and Ronnie Thompson.
