Carrie Mae Brown, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed away on October 03, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 from 2:00PM - 3:00PM ET at Faith Temple Assembly of God.
Funeral service will held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 3:00 PM ET at Faith Temple Assembly of God with Pastor Emory Evans and Pastor Frances Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Carrie was born on April 7, 1940 to Nicholas Matichka and Naomi Sartin Matichka in Jackson County, Alabama.
She was member of Faith Temple Assembly of God for 33 years, where she taught Sunday school for over 20 years. She enjoyed fishing, singing, riding around and meeting new people. She loved life and spreading the message of Jesus with everyone she met.
She is survived by four children, Louise Hall, Angela Whitley, Mike Brown (Tasha) and Joe Brown (Vickie-Allen); thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four Great-great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her spouse James William Brown; one son, James Nicholas Brown; and her parents, Nicholas Matichka and Naomi Sartin Matichka .
