Brenda Faye Trawick, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Smiths Station, Alabama, on May 3, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 16, 1947, in Columbus, Georgia, Brenda's life was a testament to her selfless nature, her infectious humor, and her unwavering friendliness.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her four children, Audrey Grantham (Roy), Tonya Catrett, Connie Weatherholtz (Kenny), and Danny Lamar Trawick (Angela). Her memory will also be cherished by her three siblings, Kenneth Harrison (Penny), Wayne Harrison (Brenda), and Jessie Mae Hutto. Brenda was the proud grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. She now joins her parents, Jessie Harrison and Lola Mae Faucet Harrison, daughter Angela Faye Catrett and son Carlton Roger Trawick Jr. in eternal rest.
Known for her dedication and hard work, Brenda was a valued cashier at Spectrum for many years. Her colleagues remember her as a bright presence, always ready to assist customers and co-workers alike with a smile. Brenda's commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her family and her faith. As a devout Christian, she lived her life with grace and compassion, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Brenda's love for life was evident in her many interests. She found joy in gardening, taking particular pride in her landscaping and the vibrant red roses that adorned her lawn. The beach was a favorite retreat where she relished the sun and the soothing rhythm of the waves. Brenda's home was a place of warmth and laughter, where she loved to dance with her family and spend quality time with her beloved dog, Choco, a Chihuahua of the smooth-coat variety.
Those who knew Brenda will remember her for her sense of humor, which brought light and laughter to any gathering. She was the epitome of selflessness, always extending a helping hand to those in need. Her friendly demeanor made her a beloved figure in her community, where she was known for her willingness to listen and her ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Visitation for Brenda Faye Trawick will be held on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral services will follow on the same day at 12:00 PM ET, also at Colonial Funeral Home. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Brenda, but we find comfort in knowing that her spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in our hearts.
