Brandon Keith Veasey, age 25, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Smiths Station, Alabama. He was born on June 25, 2000, in Columbus, Georgia, and throughout his life he carried with him a spirited personality, a generous heart, and a deep love for the people and passions that shaped him.
Brandon served his country in the U.S. Army, an experience that reflected his sense of duty, discipline, and commitment. After his military service, he continued building a life of hard work and dedication through his employment at Rivertown GMC. Those who knew him appreciated his strong work ethic and the pride he took in doing his best, both in his career and in the everyday moments that mattered most to him.
Brandon will be remembered most for the love he had for his daughter, Alaia, who was the light of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Alaia and her mother Jasmin; his parents, father Donald "Keith" Veasey, his mother, Iris "Lynn" Veasey. his two sisters, Emily Veasey and Samantha Scott and her husband Nick; grandfather, James Hedden, and grandmother Jane Trim; his nephews, Carson and Jackson Scott; and his life partner Hannah. He is also survived by his Brothers in Arms, who served beside him in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Hedden and grandfather Tim Trim. Their memory remained a meaningful part of his family story, and Brandon carried forward the strength and legacy of those who came before him.
Brandon had many interests that reflected his creativity and individuality. He loved cars and drifting and could often be found constantly watching drifting with genuine enthusiasm. His cherished Civic held a special place in his heart, and his appreciation for automobiles was more than a hobby, as it was a true passion. He also enjoyed chess and drawing, where he could express his imagination in ways that revealed his thoughtful and creative nature. He was a sneaker head who appreciated style and detail, and he enjoyed music, especially rock, along with video games that provided both entertainment and a way to connect with others.
Those who knew Brandon will remember his imagination, his energy, and the way he brought his own unique presence into every room. He had a personality that could be both bold and warm, and he was the kind of person whose interests and conversations left a lasting impression. Whether he was talking about cars, sketching, playing chess, or enjoying music, Brandon approached life with a sense of individuality that made him unforgettable.
Funeral Service to be held Friday,12:00pm ET April 24, 2026 at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor DeWayne Dean officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 11am at funeral home.
