Bobby Williams

Bobby Williams, 56, of Columbus, GA passed away on September 13, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET at Solid Rock Assembly of God in Midland, Georgia.

Bobby was born on May 6, 1965 to Willie Frank Gatlin and Annie Grace (Williams) Hunter in Brooklyn, New York.

Bobby moved to Columbus, GA in 1983 from North Carolina. Once in Columbus he began his career as a deputy sheriff for Muscogee County, where he proudly served for the past 28 years. He was promoted to Sergeant this year.

He is survived by his son, Jordon Williams of Columbus, GA; life partner Stephanie Walls of Columbus, GA; three stepchildren, Yairick McFadden (Natalie) of El Paso, TX, Yameila Henry (Kendrick) of Gainesville, FL, and Charlie McFadden (Amanda) of Douglasville, GA; his father, Willie F. Gatlin (Jeanette) of Pensacola, FL; four siblings, Eric Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Tiffany Hunter of Greensboro, NC, Justin Gatlin of Orlando, FL and Nicole Jones of Hampton, VA as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his Law Enforcement family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Annie Grace (Williams) Hunter and Grandparents Clarence Williams and Lizzie Mae (Boone) Williams.
