Bobby Dewayne Allen, 57, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on April 9, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia. Born on September 9, 1967, in Columbus, to the late Clara Edna Cox, Bobby's life was marked by his unwavering spirit and the deep bonds he forged with those around him. He was a loving father, grandfather, cousin, brother and uncle. Bobby was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Bobby proudly served his country as a Signalman in the United States Navy, a role that reflected his dedication and sense of duty. His work ethos and the friendships he cultivated during his service remained a cornerstone of his identity throughout his life. After his military career, Bobby transitioned into civilian life, where he continued to make a positive impact on his community.
Family was the axis around which Bobby's world revolved. He is survived by his children, Angel Cleary, Nicholas Allen, and Summer Allen, his grandchildren Christopher Cleary Jr, Freya Cleary, and Zerrick Cleary, as well as siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family was the light of Bobby’s life. He is preceded in death by his mother Clara Cox, brother Lamar Harold, grandfather William Cox, grandmother Dimple Cox, and mother in law Lynda Bristol.
Bobby was the epitome of a family man, and his legacy lives on through the love and memories his loved ones carry forward.
Bobby's interests were as vibrant and dynamic as his personality.Bobby had a range of things he loved including racing, sports, classic cars, American history, and rock ‘n’ roll. An avid motorcyclist, he found freedom on the open road, with the wind in his hair and the roar of the engine beneath him.
Those who knew Bobby will fondly remember him as a laid-back individual who could turn any moment into a cherished memory. He enjoyed getting together with his family and friends and reminiscing over memories. His favorite pastime was memory lane. Long hours of laughter, joy and tears walking down and telling his life story full of experiences. Bobby always left a lasting impression on those around him.
Bobby Dewayne Allen's passing leaves behind a void in the hearts of those who loved him. His spirit, however, remains as a guiding light. We celebrate his life and the indelible mark he has left on us all. Bobby's journey on earth has concluded, but the echoes of his laughter, the legacy of his love, and the stories of his adventures will continue to inspire and comfort us for generations to come.
