Bill McNeil Obituary

Bill McNeil, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away on January 09, 2023 in Columbus, Georgia.

Mr. McNeil was born on November 3, 1949 to Paul and Margaret (Cooper) McNeil in Brookfield, Missouri.  

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn McManious officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

During his career he worked in publishing management, then went on to  retire from Dons food in Mexico, Missouri. He was a member of Alcazar Shrine Temple of Montgomery, Alabama and president of the Phenix City Shrine Club; Mr. McNeil was very active in the Phenix City Shrine Club recently receiving Club Member of the year for 2022 as well as several appreciations from Alcazar Shrine Temple during his membership. He was a member of Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge of Phenix City, Alabama. and a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. 
In his free time he enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and spending time with his miniature schnauzer; JOJO who could always be found near.  Mr McNeil always adored his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his spouse of 18 years, Elizabeth "Sandy" McNeil; three children, Cerrina Elliott, Shannon Jones, and Bobby Rose; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Willie Mae Peters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret McNeil and one sister, Mary Margaret McNeil.
