Beverly Leighton, 69, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be private.
Mrs. Leighton was born August 24, 1953 to William Andrew Harper and Lupe Cavasos Tilly in San Diego, California. She worked many years as a special education para educator and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Leighton was very patient, compassionate, and was always helping others. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and more than anything, loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 46 years, David Leighton; four children, Joshua Michael Leighton (Tasha), Christopher Jeremiah McCready (Jordan), Corbin Ryan Leighton (Jessica), and Cassandra "Casey" Lorraine Johnson (Frank); eight grandchildren, Noah Schrock, Addyson Gessner, Parker Gessner, Lincoln Gessner, Max Johnson, Hunter Leighton, Prince Whiting, and Avery Leighton; several siblings, nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
