Barry Allen Rose, passed away on April 5th, 2025, in Phenix City, Alabama, at the age of 70. Born on July 20th, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, Barry was a man of passion and spirit whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Barry's early years were marked by his exceptional athletic abilities. He graduated from Northwestern Military Academy, where he excelled in baseball, football, and wrestling, earning letters in all three sports for four consecutive years. His love for sports continued into his adult life, remaining an avid fan, especially of Alabama football, embodying the same fervor he had on the field.
After his notable high school career, Barry furthered his education by attending college, paving the way for his future endeavors. He began a fulfilling career at Alcoa in Denver, Colorado, where he was respected for his work ethic and camaraderie.
Outside of his professional life, Barry's passions were as diverse as his personality. He was a lover of all music genres, with a particular fondness for classic rock, and could often be found enjoying the timeless anthems of AC/DC. Barry's spirited nature found a spiritual home at the First Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama, where he was an active and devoted member.
Those who knew Barry will remember him for his passionate approach to life. Whether it was cheering on his favorite sports teams, losing himself in music, or contributing to his community, Barry did it all with a wholehearted enthusiasm that was infectious.
Barry is survived by a loving family, including his cousin Chris Farrar and his wife Jan, his cousin Donna Jean East and her husband Carey, and a host of extended family members who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen (Farrar) Rose, and his brothers, Jim and Mike Rose.
Funeral services for Barry Allen Rose will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Morris will officiate the service, ensuring that Barry's life is celebrated with the respect and dignity he deserves.
Barry's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the memories he created, the joy he spread, and the love he shared will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
