Anne LauRuth Epting Turner 84, of Pittsview, Alabama passed away Wednesday at Covenant Woods in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. est. Monday November 15, 2021 at Pittsview United Methodist Church with burial at Pittsview Cemetery. Rev. Jennifer Rezek and Rev. Gene Chestnutt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Mazzola Jr., Joseph Turner Jr., Pierce Turner, Seth Turner, Reynolds Wetherington, Justin Riggin, Jim Harpole, Lee Koppang. Visitation will be held Sunday November 14th at Colonial Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m est.
Mrs. Turner was born December 7, 1936 in Macon, Georgia to the late Calvin and Gwendolyn Jones Epting. She graduated from Columbus High School, class of 1954. She was a member of Pittsview United Methodist Church. Mrs. Turner was very active in her church and community. She enjoyed playing bridge, spending time with her lunch bunch who were her life long friends. Her family was very special to her for whom she enjoyed celebrating many birthdays and holidays.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Francis (Frank) Turner, Jr. She is survived by her children Betsy (Jack) Mazzola of Hatchechubbee, Alabama. Joe (Starla) Turner of Smith Station, Alabama. Hallie (John "JT") Taylor of Columbus, Georgia. Francis (Nancy) Turner III of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Gwen (Ed) Wetherington of Fortson, Georgia. Grandchildren Jack (Bethany) Mazzola, Jr., Courtney (Justin) Mazzola Riggin, Caroline (Jim) Turner Harpole, Clare (Lee) Turner Koppang, Joseph (Valerie) Turner Jr., Pierce Turner, LauRuth Turner, Seth Turner, Claudia Wilson, Abby Wilson, Ansley Wetherington, Reynolds Wetherington and eleven great grandchildren.
