Allison Michelle (Arrington) Holmes

Allison Arrington Holmes, 57, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM EST at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Salem, Alabama. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holmes was born November 29, 1965 to James Arrington and Shirley Holmes Hamil in Columbus, Georgia. She was known for her love of the outdoors, especially racing, camping, being on the lake, and spending time at the pool with her family. Mrs. Holmes loved Alabama football and having a good time.

Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 41 years, Edward "Spud" Holmes, Jr.; children, Tater Holmes (Misty), Kimberly Gaines (Steven), and Natasha Watkins (Stephen); grandchildren, Hunter Gaines, Chase Baugh, Hunter, Baugh, Gage Cox, Steven Gaines, Ty Watkins, Trey Holmes, and Addison Watkins; mother, Shirley Holmes Hamil; father, James Arrington; siblings, James Arrington, Steve Hamil, Bonnie Anderson, Jimmy Arrington, and Shelly Gainey.
