Alice Laney Nason

Alice Laney Nason, 88, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at her home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama. The family will receive friends Friday, April 2, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Nason was born November 26, 1932 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Allen Jefferson Laney, Sr. and Elizabeth Culpepper Laney. She and her husband, Bill, were members of Central Baptist Church where they taught Sunday School and Church Training for many years and sang in the choir. Mrs. Nason worked in textile manufacturing for Leshner Corporation until she retired.  She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for her family and friends.

Other than her parents and brothers and sisters, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Bill" Nason Sr. and son, James "Billy" Nason, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Nason and Karon Rogers (Ray), and one son, Daron Nason; five Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her own grandchildren, Mrs. Nason was "Granny Nason" to many loving children who were not her own.
