Abraham Rene Delacruz, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in Phenix City, Alabama, at the age of 54. Born on March 11, 1970, in Los Angeles, Abraham was a man of integrity, humor, and deep love for his family and country.
Abraham's early years in Los Angeles laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. He proudly served in the United States Army, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried into his subsequent career. After his honorable discharge, Abraham embarked on a career as a truck driver, a job that he approached with the same sense of duty and pride that marked his military service.
Family was the cornerstone of Abraham's life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Cappie Louise Delacruz, and a loving father to his daughter, Charitie Fuller. His joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Roby and Cabella Fuller, who brought endless happiness and laughter into his life. He also leaves behind several cousins to cherish his memory and the times they spent together. Though his parents, Jack Earl Barrentine and Yvon Elizabeth Barrentine, preceded him in death, the values they instilled in him lived on through his actions and the legacy he leaves behind.
Abraham's zest for life extended beyond his family and work. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved 4-wheeling and fishing, often spending his weekends exploring the natural beauty that surrounded him. Fall Saturdays would find him cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldog football team.
Those who knew Abraham will remember him for his generous spirit, his hearty laugh, and his unwavering loyalty. He was a man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his presence will be deeply missed.
