William Banks Barr, II, 86, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.

William was born September 3, 1933 in Rockland, Pennsylvania to Roy Eugene Barr and Freada Elizabeth Lewis. He graduated from Oil City High School and served in the United States Army. William went on to work at Autex for 19 years as a textile spinner before retiring from Greenleaf in 2002 after 14 years of service. He was a member of Salvation Army and enjoyed talking with truckers on his CB radio.

Surviving are his 2 daughters, Debra Probst and Gail Miller; 3 sons, Rick Ball, Randy Ball and Jeff Ball; 3 sisters, Clara Bell Bucholz, Nancy Frank and Dawn Butler; 1 brother, Larry Eugene Barr; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
