Vanessa Turner Helms, 60 of Phenix City, AL passed away January 3, 2018.  A retired school teacher, her hobbies included Georgia Football, playing with her dog Tink, and lovingly spoiling her grandchildren.  She is proceeded in death by her parents James (Bob) and Annie R. Turner.  Her dogs Max and Riley.  She was a dedicated member of North Highland Assembly of God in Columbus, GA.  Vanessa is survived by her daughters Sarah E. Harris of Maryland and Rebecca H. Baldwin and her husband Ben of Arkansas. Six Grandchildren Olivia, Abigail, Aaron, Colt, Hannah, and Brooke.  Sister Kerri T. Brown.  Three nieces and one nephew.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Paws Humane or favorite animal shelter.

Memorial Services will be held Friday January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Colonial Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.
