Phenix City, Alabama, Tonia Marie McCumsey, 38, of Phenix City, Alabama died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM EDT at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory’s Chapel with Rev. Randy Comer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00PM. Tonia was born July 18, 1978 in Columbus, Georgia to Rev. Tony Jernigan and the late Melinda Sue Stinson Jernigan. She was a homemaker, an ordained minister, and loved to paint, write, and music. Surviving are her husband, Rudy Jack Manalo McCumsey, children, Dylan Anthony Wootten, and Emily Leilani McCumsey, father and step mother, Rev. Tony and Rita Jernigan, sister, Tara Michelle Jernigan, mother and father in law, Wolfgang and Debra Lindh, step sister, Terra Starling. She was preceded in death by her mother, Melinda Sue Jernigan.
