Shirley Diane Yates 54, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Friday evening, September 8, 2017 at her home. Shirley was born May 22, 1963 to Wilson Middlebrooks and Mary Diane Strickland in Columbus, Georgia. She was a member of Eastside Assembly of God and was employed at AAFES at Fort Benning. She enjoyed collecting angels, yard sales and was always happy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday; September 13, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Est at Eastside Assembly of God. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday; September 13, 2017 at 2:30 pm Est at Parkhill cemetery with Brother James Strickland officiating.

She is survived by her son Anthony David Yates of Columbus, Ga; daughter Crystal Dawn Yates of Columbus, Georgia; brothers Mike (Amy) Middlebrooks of Acworth, Georgia; Jason (Amanda) Littlefield of Columbus, Georgia; father Wilson Middlebrooks of Rockmart, Georgia; mother Mary Diane Strickland of Columbus, Georgia; and six grandchildren, Zachary Yates, Miranda Card, Victorian Smith, Maximus Smith, Ayriana Justice Yates, and Paisley Rayne Yates.
