Shirley Ann (Stringfellow) Busby

Shirley Ann Busby, 84, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Parkwood Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00am EST at Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. Emory Evans officiating. Private interment will follow at Newsome Family Cemetery.

Ms. Busby was born May 13, 1935 to George Anderson Stringfellow and Violet Irene Newsome Stringfellow in Phenix City, Alabama. She formerly attended Golden Acres Assembly of God. She retired from Wal-Mart after 15 years of service and also worked as a forklift operator. Other than her parents, Ms. Busby is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Ann Wade; sister, Alice Faye Bray and brother, Earl Stringfellow.

Surviving are her son, Donald L. Wade; daughters, Gloria Wade Sheffield Mainor and Regina Faye Densel; brothers, Joseph "Gene" Stringfellow and William "Bill" Stringfellow; sister, Nina Jo Girard; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren.
