Robert Rodney Starling, 62, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home Sunday evening, July 23, 2017.
A private memorial service will be held.
Rodney was born April 5, 1955 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Robert William Starling and Gladys Goodson Starling of Columbus, Georgia. He attended Columbus State University and was employed with Schnitzer Steel, a member of First Evangelistic Church in Phenix City, member of Three Lakes Fishing Club, enjoyed playing softball, collecting arrowheads, and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.
Surviving other than his mother are his wife of 36 years, Charmin Starnes Starling,  son, Chris Jones, daughter, Alexis Starling, both of Phenix City, a sister, Gail (Allen) Blish, 3 brothers, Bruce (Becky) Starling, David (Debra) Starling, and Dale (Leslie) Starling all of Columbus. 2 grandchildren, Madison Jones and Cameron Jones., a sister in law, Charlotte (Bo) Miller of Columbus, a brother in law, Ronnie (Jane) Starnes of Phenix City and a longtime close friend, Carol Johnson.
