Nellie Ruth Harrelson

Nellie Ruth Harrelson 87, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Seth Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM ET on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Internment will follow the funeral service at Lakeview Memory Gardens. 

Mrs. Harrelson was born March 11, 1931 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Homer Lafayette Greer and Ethel Mae Greer. She spent most of her life as a textile worker. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family, which she did every Sunday. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Price, 2 brothers, Oscar Greer and Alvin Greer, 3 sisters, Brenda Scruggs, Christine Turner and Velma Greer, and brother in law, William Terry.

Surviving are her son, Gerald Walsh and his wife, Elaine, stepdaughter, Tammy Leamon, 2 sisters, Alice Mae Terry and Patricia Lamabard, nieces and nephews, Norma Jean Hayes (Lennord), Patsy Carroll (Seth), Cathy Hall, Erica Page, Ricky Hall, Daniel Hall and Sheila Hickman, several great-nieces and nephews, Taylor Hayes, Bradley Hayes, Gracelenn Hayes, Ashley Chambliss, Stacy Swain, Clyde Chambliss, Caden Hall, Brandon Hall, Jennifer Carroll, Melissa Carroll, Timothy Carroll and numerous grandchildren.
