Margaret "Peggy" (Petway) Evans

Margaret "Peggy" (Petway) Evans, 80, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on August 16, 2019. A funeral service will be held 1:00pm ET Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastors Donnie Lumpkin and Adren Stallion officiating. A Visitation will be held from 6-8pm ET on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home. 

Peggy was born on April 17, 1939 to the late Jack and Mary-Lillian Veasey in Phenix City, Alabama. She graduated from Central High school in 1957 was married to MSGT. George T. Evans for over twenty years. Peggy was a Methodist by religion. She liked making people laugh and was always cutting up. She loved her dogs, most of which were poodles. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done and  would always attend the Central High reunions. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. 

Preceding in death are her parents, son Bruce Petway, brothers and sisters. 

Surviving are her daughter Marta Petway (John Phillips), son Brad Petway, granddaughters April Lester Hughes (Casey), Margo Valero (Leo), Lisa Lester, Amber Napier (Jessie), Tiffany Petway and Brandon Petway; great-grandchildren Taylor Yancey, Kirstie Valero, Leo Valero III, Andrew Valero, John Petway, Zoie Napier, Jessie Napier, Jayda Wysinger, Kayden Petway, Brent Purcell, Shelby Purcell and Kristen McClure; great-great-grandchildren Jaxson Yancey, Sierra Purcell and Aaliyah Johnson.
