Lavada Irene Phillips, 76, of Midland, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at her home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00pm ET at Crawford Road Baptist Church (2706 US-80, Phenix City, AL 36869) with Brother Marvin Minton and Father Weise officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm ET at Crawford Road Baptist Church (2706 US-80, Phenix City, AL 36869). Interment will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Columbus, Georgia. A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 11:00am-3pm ET at Colonial Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Phillips was born December 20, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia to Arrie Eston Riley and Irene Sybil Kirkland. She worked as a custodian for Muscogee County School District and was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Katie Irene Burchfield (Gard Victor) of Midland, Georgia; son, Donald Curtis Trivett, Jr. (Stephanie) of Ladonia, Alabama; daughter, Teresa Ann Weisenberg of Columbus, Georgia; son, Frank L. Trivett of Maylene, Alabama; brothers, James Riley of Salem, Virginia, ML Riley of Cataula, Georgia, Odell West of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, Raymond West of Ocee, Florida and McKenzie West of Bedford, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
