John Leonard "Len" Garrett, 59, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Saturday evening at Saint Francis Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Len was born March 14, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late John A. Garrett and Myrtle Callahan Garrett. He was formerly employed at Phenix Foods, and also as an auto mechanic, enjoyed citizens band radio and went by the handle of "Alabama Flash".

Survivors include a son, Joseph A. Garrett, sisters, Sharon (Wally) Carpenter of Smiths Station, AL, Tina (Michael) Williams of Salem, AL, Nina (Norman) Ragan of Ashland City, TN, a brother, Roy Lee (Betty Ann) Williams of McCalla, AL, several nieces and nephews.
