Herman W. Harrison- Daddy, Granddaddy, One of the 3 Daryl’s, Brother, Son, Uncle, See Bee, Patriot, Veteran, and few other names along the way, went to be with Our Lord on November 8, 2017.  

The Daddy of 3 adoring girls, CindyLou, Donna and Lisa, was born into humble beginnings as the 10th child of Emory and Ruby Harrison on October 26, 1939.

Herman lived a life with a servant’s heart.  He was a proud veteran serving as a SeaBee in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves, and previously in the United States Air Force.  After his service to his country, he found his passion as an electrician which led to his love of refurbishing homes.  He built the home by hand where he would raise his girls.

Along with his daughters and family, his greatest joy was helping anyone in need.  A selfless, loving, loyal man. 

Herman also had a strong affinity and love for his beloved pets, Sam, Baxter, Lilly and JoJo who were great companions for him.  We know they were waiting for their pat on the head when he entered the Gates of Glory. 

However, his greatest achievements in life are his daughters and the families they gave him. 

His oldest is Cynthia “CindyLou” Bullard married to Jeff.   Jeff & Cindy’s children- daughter Brooke King (William), son Justin Cornett (1984-2015) & son Ryan Blain, (Nell).  His go getter, hard working brown eyed girl.

Then came Donna Hunt married to Duane with daughter Kelly Rainer.  His gentle, soft spoken middle child with a heart for serving people like her Daddy. 

Shortly thereafter came his baby, Lisa Bledsoe married to Ken, son Hunter who is following in his grandfather’s footsteps serving our country as a Commissioned Officer with the US Army.  His smart, insightful caretaker. 

His most recent joy came from his seeing his family extend to having great Grandchildren- Haleigh Clark, Hayden Clark, CJ King, Christian King and Purdy Blain.

This is how we would hear him describe his legacy if he were standing beside us today. 

He was also a proud brother to siblings Douglas Harrison (Linda) & Dewey Lee Harrison who were by his side during his final days. 

He will be met in glory by those siblings who went before him Vivian Marchant, Dorothy Mixon, Inez Sellers, Jeanette Linton, James Harrison, Neil Harrison, Clarence Harrison, & Bobby Harrison.

His life was filled with an abundance of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who saw him give the shirt off his back to help others. 

Our hearts and minds grieve the loss of a man who was always well prepared - even until the end.   We look at his life and know he made his mark within the lives of his daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and the little community he moved about in.   

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Graveside service is at Lakeview Memory Garden on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 10 am EST. Officiated by Pastor David Kees.

Daughters will receive family and friends on Monday November 13 from 6 to 8 pm EST at 57 Pintail Court, Cataula Georgia 31804.
