Gurtha Dykes, 95, Phenix City, Alabama, passed away May 24, 2017. She was born July 30, 1921 to Richard Floyd and Myrtle Lee Hall Tillery. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 12:30 PM EDT at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM EDT at the Colonial Funeral Home chapel. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors are: daughter, Mary Murphy (Steve); Son, James Sasser (Barbara); sister, Alice Ruth; brother, Preston Tillery; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.  

Preceded by: her father, Richard Floyd Tillery, and mother, Myrtle Lee Hall; daughters, Edna Boutwell Farrell, Rebecca LaFauce; grandson, T. J. Harris; brothers, William Guy Tillery, Ned Tillery, and Jack Tillery.
