Mr. Granval "Jesse" Cheney, Jr., 65, of Columbus, Georgia died Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home.

A Family Visitation will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM  at the home of Sue Daughtry, 230 Lee Road 199, Salem, Alabama.

Jesse was born August 18, 1951 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Granval  J. Cheney, Sr. and Sara Louise Williams Cheney. He was self employed in the construction business.

Surviving are his daughter, Tracie Michelle Cheney of Satsuma, Alabama, three sisters, Shirley Benzin and husband, Charles of Phenix City, Alabama, Sharon Griffin, and husband, Jerry of Phenix City, Alabama, and Sue Daughtry and husband, Ricky of Salem, Alabama. Numerous nieces and nephews.
